The Boston Red Sox can lock up in the top AL Wild Card spot with a win over the Washington Nationals on Sunday.
The AL Wild Card scene is beyond chaotic, folks. There are four teams still battling it out for the two positions: Seattle, New York, Toronto and Boston. On the last day of the regular season, Boston can lock in the No. 1 spot with a win.
That’s right. With a victory, Boston will host the AL Wild Card Game early next week. With a loss, though, they’ll then have to wait and see what happens with the three other teams before finding out what will be next for them.
