World Series map: All of America rooting against the Astros, minus one exception
By Ethan Lee
Folks all across America are still mad at the Houston Astros and are rooting for the Atlanta Braves in the 2021 World Series.
The Houston Astros sign stealing scandal has stuck with them, despite the fact that most of the players from the 2017 World Series championship winning team aren’t even on this roster. It doesn’t matter that the leadership for this team is different than what the 2017 team had.
People are still mad about Houston winning that World Series. It doesn’t come as a surprise that most of America is rooting for the Atlanta Braves in this series. Well, they may not be rooting FOR Atlanta as much as they are rooting AGAINST Houston.
Those are technically two completely different sources of motivation.
But not everyone across America totally hates Houston here. Unsurprisingly, it appears as if one Texas’ neighbors has Houston’s back. Head just a few hours east of the Bayou City and you’ll arrive in the state of Louisiana.
According to that map graphic, it appears as if the folks there are generally supporting Houston rather than Atlanta in this World Series.

All of that said, Houston doesn’t really care if you hate the Astros. Feel free to go ahead and bring up all of the tired memes and inflatable trashcans. Go ahead and throw around buzzer conspiracy theories.
Feel free to hate as much as you’d like. The Astros are in the World Series for the third time in the past five seasons. They’re winning, sign-stealing scandal or no sign-stealing scandal. Houston fans are enjoying sitting back and watching their team succeed while opposing fanbases get worked up about cheating in a sport that has a history rife with scandals.
