Two of the NBA’s best face off as the 3-1 Miami Heat hosts the 4-1 Charlotte Hornets at FTX Arena in Miami, Florida, on Friday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 pm ET.

It’s still early in the NBA season, and many of last year’s best teams are still finding themselves throughout the first two weeks of the season.

But two teams that have already found their strengths are the 3-1 Miami Heat and the 4-1 Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets rank second in the Eastern Conference, while the Heat are close behind in fifth.

Miami is coming off a dominating 106-93 win over the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Jimmy Butler teamed up with Bam Adebayo for a fourth-quarter closeout that put the Nets far behind them. Combined, Butler and Adebayo scored 41 points. P.J. Tucker played beautifully as well, putting up 15 on the night.

The Hornets beat the Nets themselves on Sunday in a 111-95 victory, but the undefeated team encountered their first loss on Monday night in an overtime game against the Boston Celtics. The Celtics scored 140 over the Hornets’ 129, but the Hornets bounced back on Wednesday with a 120-111 win over the Orlando Magic.

Now, the Hornets have flown further south to take on the Heat in Miami, which will be an equalized match between these two strong Eastern teams.
