Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators have some things to figure out after being demolished by the Georgia Bulldogs.
Very few things went right Saturday afternoon for Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators. When presented with the opportunity to spoil their rival’s season, the Gators fell flat and were run over by an absurdly efficient and dominant Georgia Bulldogs team.
‘We’re not where we want to be,’ #Gators coach Dan Mullen said. ‘It’s a mindset we gotta go change and we gotta go fix.’

And Mullen isn’t wrong.
The Gators aren’t where they want to be. The folks down in Gainesville have high standards. Being at 4-4 eight games into the year isn’t the standard for that program. Mullen said there’s a mindset issue that needs to be fixed, but it seems like that might just be one problem Florida has to address.
"There's a lot of negativity. I think that feeds in sometimes and I don't know that it should but it does unfortunately, they're young kids."

Mullen on the negativity around the team and the season.
Mullen seems intent on addressing a negative energy issue that is going on with his program. Will that fix everything?
Florida Gators: Dan Mullen speaks after loss to Georgia Bulldogs
Mullen isn’t wrong here either, but he hasn’t exactly been able to beat Georgia consistently. Having just one win over the Bulldogs in four years isn’t exactly going to satisfy a lot of folks in Gainseville.
‘We were better last year; they were better this year,’ Dan Mullen on talent gap with Georgia.

And now we get to see just how much of this Mullen can fix in just four weeks. It’s possible for the Gators to salvage this season, but the best they can get to this season is 9-4 with a bowl win. Worse records are certainly possible.
‘In this final third of the season that’s on me to get this fixed,’ Dan Mullen said. ‘I certainly plan on doing that, on changing where we’re at right now and creating some positive energy.’
