The Florida Gators were steamrolled by the Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart sure seems proud of how his team looked when compared to Dan Mullen’s bunch.

After the Georgia Bulldogs bludgeoned the Florida Gators in a 34-7 win, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart may have taken a shot at his Florida counterpart. After the game wrapped up, Smart not-so-subtlety hinted at the talent differential between the Bulldogs and the Gators being the main reason why Georgia dominated the game.

And he might just be right.

Did Kirby Smart take a shot at Dan Mullen after Georgia crushed Florida?

When Mullen was with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, he was known for recruiting decent classes and then finding diamonds in the rough to develop. He found considerable success with that recipe, but he ended up hitting a ceiling he couldn’t get through. It seems like something similar might be happening with the Gators.

Florida fans are pretty sick of how things have been going lately. Assuming Mullen makes it through the rest of this season, he might want to start raiding the transfer portal and improve his recruiting efforts.

Recruiting was often something Mississippi State fans complained about, but Mullen was able to get past that with the way he developed his teams. Expectations are considerably higher in Gainesville. Winning eight to nine games a season simply won’t cut it.
