CFP rankings release: What time does ESPN announce CFP rankings?
By Ethan Lee
CFP rankings release time will change week-to-week, just as the projected CFP rankings do. But ESPN will have CFP rankings released every Tuesday.
Arguably the most influential and prominent force in college football right now is the College Football Playoff committee. With the decisions they make, these folks can completely shape the way a season and a group of teams are perceived.
The committee often receives plenty of criticisms, but one thing they do brilliantly well is not ranking teams until the back half of the college football season. We’ve already received one batch of rankings and many were either thrilled or disappointed with how that looked, it all depends on which teams you’re biased towards.
So, when will the next batch of CFP rankings be released?
CFP rankings released on Tuesday nights on ESPN
Each and every week throughout the month of November, the CFP committee’s rankings are released in a broadcasted show on ESPN.
When do they announce CFP rankings?
While the show is generally set for Tuesdays at 7 p.m. ET, this week, the show kicks off at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 9. The schedule is a little up in the air as the rankings will be released as ESPN juggles the Champions Classic basketball games.
The weekly broadcast will continue throughout November, with it taking place on Tuesday each week, before the final selection show which takes place on Sunday, Dec. 5 at Noon ET. During that final show, the matchups for every single bowl game all the way up through the playoffs are announced.
