Bray Wyatt is taking his monsters from the WWE to Hollywood
First reported by Fightful, and now confirmed by Metro, Bray Wyatt, now going by real-life name Windham Rotunda, is working on a feature-length movie. Working alongside Jason Baker, a close friend of Rotunda’s who helped him create “The Fiend” and the “Firefly Fun House”, the movie is set to begin filming later this month.
The title and story details are yet to be made public, but Baker had only good things to say about Rotunda’s work on the project thus far.
“He’s a phenomenal collaborator,” Baker told Metro, “He’s become a really good friend,”
Bray Wyatt’s return to wrestling will be delayed due to his film project
Bray Wyatt was released from WWE in July, to the surprise of many. Wyatt had won two world championships over his decade-long tenure with the company and had been central to many of the most iconic and memorable matches and programs of the last decade.
He had been willing to recreate himself multiple times over that long stint, including his most recent change into the terrifying but brilliant “The Fiend” character.
Fans have been excitedly waiting for Windham Rotunda to show up for a wrestling promotion since his release.
Anticipation has reached a fever pitch now that his 90-day non-compete expired in late October. Whether it is AEW or Impact Wrestling, fans are ready to see what the former Eater of Worlds comes up with next.
However, with his current film project, fans may be waiting for a few more months.
