The college football world is reacting to the Oklahoma Sooners’ disastrous loss to the Baylor Bears Saturday afternoon.

The Baylor Bears were able to completely derail the Oklahoma Sooners‘ season Saturday afternoon after they secured a crushing 27-14 victory in McLane Stadium. The Sooners came into the year hoping to compete for a national championship and they’ve flirted with disaster all season.

Oklahoma had the longest winning streak but that’s over now. When facing the Bears, the Sooners simply couldn’t escape with a win. Now the college football world is reacting to the upset win that has Big 12 title and playoff implications.

This loss is huge in a lot of ways, but Oklahoma just flat-out looks bad right now. Sure, the Sooners are 9-1, but they don’t seem all that impressive in many of those nine wins. It’s bizarre to see Oklahoma’s offense seem so incredibly inept.

The Baylor fans in the stands were more than within their right to mock Oklahoma’s impending move to the SEC. Breaking out the classic “SEC” chant whenever an SEC team loses on a big stage is perfect, but it’s even better to do it against a team that wants to be in the SEC and is helping to destabilize its current conference in the process.

Oklahoma losing should be pretty helpful for Cincinnati’s playoff case. It may not be enough to convince everyone, but it’ll certainly do something for the Bearcats.
