Brent Venables is leaving the Clemson Tigers for the Oklahoma Sooners. Clemson football fans aren’t exactly thrilled at with losing their defensive coordinator.

The Oklahoma Sooners have a head coach once more. Oklahoma was able to swoop in and snag Brent Venables, the defensive coordinator for the Clemson Tigers. Venables, a native of Salina, Kansas, is heading back to a place where he once coached to help move the Sooners forward after Lincoln Riley controversial move to USC.

Venables was previously a member of the Oklahoma coaching staff, serving as a co-defensive coordinator from 1999 to 2003 and then acting as the defensive coordinator from 2004 through 2011.

That’s when he ended up leaving for Clemson.

Of course, with a monumental coaching move like this, Clemson fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Venables moving back to Oklahoma.
