Von Miller, former Demaryius Thomas teammates honor WR with helmet decals
Former teammates of Demaryius Thomas, including Von Miller and DeAndre Hopkins, honored the WR during Rams-Cardinals with helmet decals.
It was clear throughout Sunday how much love NFL players had for Demaryius Thomas, the former Broncos wide receiver who tragically passed away unexpectedly at just 33 years old this past week.
Denver paid numerous tributes to Thomas throughout their win over the Lions, including a pregame ceremony and, more poignantly, starting the game by taking the field with 10 players on offense.
The love being shown for Thomas to honor his memory, though, won’t stop after Sunday, though, particularly with several former teammates playing for the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football.
Rams linebacker Von Miller in addition to Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and kicker Matt Prater, all of whom played with Thomas throughout his career, are wearing “88” decals on their helmets in primetime to honor the wide reciever.

Miller and Prater both played alongside Thomas while with the Broncos. Hopkins, meanwhile, was a fellow wide receiver on the Texans during Thomas’ brief stint in Houston.
In the wake of Thomas’ death, the outpouring of love for the wide receiver has been substantial, not just for a great NFL player but for a great man as well.
That was evident throughout Thomas’ life, without question, but the people — teammates, fans and others — he impacted as well continue to make that even more obvious.
