With Denver in action on Sunday going up against the Detroit Lions, the Broncos actually ran out for the team’s first offensive play without an ‘X’ receiver lined up. With only 10 men out there, Denver was flagged. However, Detroit declined the penalty in awesome fashion.
Demaryius Thomas will never be forgotten by Denver Broncos fans
This really was a touching moment. Thomas will go down as a Broncos legend, as he was a four-time Pro Bowler and helped the team win the Super Bowl during the 2015 season. For his career with Denver, he hauled in 777 balls for 10,522 yards and 69 touchdowns.
Thomas was only 33 years old at the time of his passing. No exact cause of death has been revealed of late, but the early indication was that it was potentially due to some sort of medical issue.
From the moment it was announced that Thomas had passed away, folks have raced to social media to shower him and his family with love. This includes quarterback Peyton Manning, who said Thomas was a great teammate, but an even better person.
