After Georgia football’s Kirby Smart apparently refused to shake Ric Flair’s hand, Flair is now showing support for the Michigan Wolverines.

Ric Flair, also known as “The Nature Boy,” is one of the most notable and memorable professional wrestlers of all time. He’s incredibly prominent and many are more than aware of who he is.

But apparently Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart either didn’t recognize or for some reason snubbed Flair when presented with an opportunity to shake his hand on the sideline of a Georgia Bulldogs game.

According to Flair, the Memphis native was standing alongside famed Georgia running back Herschel Walker during a Bulldogs game. For whatever reason, Smart didn’t end up shaking The Nature Boy’s hand.

And now, Flair is actively rooting against Georgia in the Orange Bowl.

Georgia football: Ric Flair issues support for Michigan Wolverines after Kirby Smart allegedly disrespected him

In a tweet, Flair detailed how Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, has been shaking Flair’s hand for over three decades. All Smart had to do was shake Flair’s hand and he might be rooting for the Bulldogs when they face the Wolverines in the College Football Playoff Semifinal.

It seems like a bad idea to not shake Flair’s hand. But, in all fairness, we don’t know Smart’s side in all of this. Maybe he didn’t recognize Flair? Who knows what led up to it, but apparently the interaction, or lack thereof, is enough to make a difference for Flair.
