Michigan football player Cade McNamara turns heads with his Orange Bowl pregame outfit.

Not all heroes wear capes, but some like Michigan football star Cade McNamara wear aviators.

The highway to the danger zone brought McNamara and his Michigan Wolverines teammates to South Beach. Waiting for them are some very hungry and very angry Georgia Bulldogs. With a trip to a national championship on the line, the cooler heads will prevail. McNamara may have his work cut out for him vs. the Georgia front-seven, but he is channeling his inner Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.

No outsider has had greater Miami vibes since Phil Collins forgot his jacket way back in the 1980s.

For Michigan, this is the Wolverines’ first trip to the College Football Playoff. They finally slew the dragon by beating the dreaded Ohio State Buckeyes on Thanksgiving Weekend. After having no issues whatsoever vs. Iowa in Indianapolis, Georgia will be a very tough matchup for them. The Dawgs are hoping to face Alabama in a rematch, but McNamara and company have other plans.

If Michigan were to be in position to win its first national title since 1997, McNamara will need to outplay his counterpart Stetson Bennett IV. Michigan and Georgia are close facsimiles of one another, but Kirby Smart’s team has recruited better over Jim Harbaugh’s squad for the last five years. A big win over Georgia will do wonders for Michigan’s recruitment nationwide, no doubt.

McNamara may have the need for speed, but it will take more brains than brawn to beat Georgia.
