With the Green Bay Packers balling out this year, there’s still a chance Aaron Rodgers could return to Lambeau Field next season.

Oh, how things have changed for the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers. Last winter, it really felt like Rodgers was headed out of town, as the growing tensions between him and the front office seemed irreparable. Now, though, that’s not the case at all.

Matter of fact, Rodgers appears to be on the same page with Brian Gutekunst and Co. for once. With that said, Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Green Bay front office now has hope that Rodgers will be back with the team come next season.

Aaron Rodgers potentially returning to the Packers next year would be awesome

People assumed this would be the last year of Rodgers and Davante Adams together at Lambeau. However, with the team at 12-3 entering the Sunday Night Football showdown with the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay holds the No. 1 seed in the NFC and the team is among the favorites to win the Super Bowl in February.

Rodgers is also looking like he’s ready to take home MVP honors for the second consecutive season. Everything is going great for Rodgers and the Packers. With his improved relationship with the execs as well, it would surely make a potential exit that much more difficult for the future Hall-of-Famer.

Right now, Rodgers sole focus is on winning his second Super Bowl with the organization. Once the offseason does arrive, then Rodgers can sit down and really think about his future. Another season or two with the Packers would mean the world to folks in Wisconsin. On the other hand, seeing him suit up for a different team would be nothing short of heartbreaking.
