Despite rumors stating Aaron Rodgers is ready to leave Green Bay, he’s most certainly left the door open for a Packers return next season.

What does the future have in store for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers? Things are very much up in the air, but the signal-caller is no question focused on trying to help his team win the Super Bowl this winter.

Having said that, the speculation continues to grow on whether or not Rodgers will be joining a new team next season. Well, Rodgers spoke to the media on Wednesday and he said that he hasn’t ruled out retiring, but he also isn’t closing the door on suiting up at Lambeau Field next year either.

Aaron Rodgers could make a Packers return in 2022

“I’m just enjoying this season for this season, and playing next year will definitely be in the thought process,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers added that he doesn’t want to be a ‘bum’ out there and he must keep playing at a high level if he wants his career to continue. That hasn’t been an issue for him in 2021, as Rodgers is considered the favorite to take home MVP honors for the second consecutive season.

With Rodgers playing so well, Green Bay is 12-3 on the year and they hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Entering the season, there were some serious ‘last dance’ vibes from Rodgers and wideout Davante Adams, as many expected this to be the last year the two would play for Green Bay.

Now, though, Rodgers looks happier than ever throwing the ball all over the field. No one knows what will happen this offseason, but Rodgers’ latest quote will surely have Packers fans excited knowing there’s a chance his time in Wisconsin could continue.
