Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the MVP favorite, and after another solid performance on Christmas, increased his odds even further.

No. 12 passed Brett Favre for most touchdowns in Green Bay Packers history on Saturday, as his team held on for a 24-22 victory over the Cleveland Browns. In the game, Rodgers threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

Entering last week, Rodgers and Tom Brady appeared the clear favorites for NFL MVP, despite Brady taking a shutout loss to the New Orleans Saints. Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinched the AFC South on Sunday, but Brady took a significant step back in WynnBet’s NFL MVP odds.

Per WynnBet, Rodgers is at -240, while Jonathan Taylor and Brady are both at +600.

Aaron Rodgers MVP odds: Will Packers QB win?

Rodgers is definitely separating himself, and with two weeks left in the regular season, it makes sense he’d be heavily favored. Still, he trails Brady in overall passing yards, but that impact appears to be minimal.

Despite both teams having clinched their respective divisions, the Packers and Bucs have plenty to play for in terms of overall conference standing. For now, the Packers have the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Assuming they don’t clinch that spot next week, they’ll be forced to start Rodgers in the final game of the season.

That would play into No. 12’s hand — and those who bet Rodgers for MVP — as he’ll have a chance to add to his gaudy statistics.

The MVP race doesn’t matter nearly as much to Rodgers as it does to those who have money on him. The 38-year-old is seeking his second Super Bowl, and this Packers team could be his last best chance at another ring.

Back-to-back MVP’s would be the cherry on top.
