Week 18 of the NFL season is almost here. What does the schedule look like? Which two teams will face off in Sunday Night Football?
The final week of the NFL regular season is almost upon us. It’s just about time for the playoffs, but there’s still time for the playoff picture to be shaken up a bit. Of course, the teams that end up facing off during Sunday Night Football for Week 18 would love to improve their playoff position a bit.
So, who is set to play in Sunday Night Football?
NFL schedule for Week 18: What game is scheduled for Sunday Night Football?
At the moment, there’s not a game currently lined up to be played Sunday night. The NFL has a ton of games lined up for Sunday afternoon, but there’s not one currently placed in that SNF timeslot. There’s a very good chance that changes though.
In fact, it would be wise to expect that to change.
Due to the NFL’s flexible scheduling procedures that are in place, it’s safe to say that one will end up in the SNF spot for Week 18. The NFL can make this happen six days out from the day of the game.
The whole idea is to help get a game that involves teams with playoff implications. The NFL is trying to get more interesting games set for SNF and this season, there are several options available.
Here are three games that should be in contention for SNF in week 18:
- Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Chargers
- Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles
- San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams
So while the NFL doesn’t have anyone lined up to play Sunday evening at the moment, expect an official announcement changing that sooner rather than later.
