Alabama football schedule 2022: Way-too-early game-by-game picks
By Ethan Lee
The Alabama Crimson Tide will be looking to have another banner year in 2022. What will the next Alabama football season hold for Nick Saban?
Well, Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide came close, but they fell short against the Georgia Bulldogs in the National Championship game. Now it’s time for Alabama to pick up the pieces of this season and move on.
Saban and his Alabama football team have made it right back to the College Football Playoff in what is essentially supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Crimson Tide. But, despite some relative ups and downs, Alabama has still been Alabama. The Crimson Tide should still be dominant again next season.
So, what does next year look like for Alabama? Folks who are expecting Saban’s team to take a step back will probably be pretty disappointed.

Saban and the Crimson Tide will be in perfect position to make another run through their schedule and to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta. While Alabama should be the overwhelming favorite in most of its games next season, there might be a few tricky games with the way things are lined up next season.
That early road trip to Austin to face the Texas Longhorns could be intriguing depending on if Texas is indeed back. The October 1st road trip to face a steadily improving Arkansas Razorbacks team that legitimately challenged Alabama this year shouldn’t be overlooked either. Same goes for the road trips to Knoxville and Baton Rouge.
Will Alabama have any trap games next season? Well, the Crimson Tide’s games against the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels come at interesting times where it would be feasible for Alabama to overlook both opponents.
Plus, there’s the Iron Bowl. That game always gets weird.
Alabama should be more than good enough to cruise through that schedule, but nothing should be taken for granted. Perfect seasons are pretty rare.
