Bears schedule interview with Brian Flores to be head coach
With the Chicago Bears looking to replace Matt Nagy, Brian Flores is all set to try and land the open job.
Folks all over Miami still can’t get over the breaking news from earlier in the week that Brian Flores had been fired as head coach. Who in the heck saw that coming? Well, as you might have been able to guess, Flores is already drawing interest elsewhere.
Now, you can add the Chicago Bears to the list of teams who may want Flores in town. According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Bears will be holding an interview with Flores. Will the former Dolphin end up landing the gig?
Brian Flores will interview with the Bears to take over as head coach
For a while now, the expectation was that the Bears would end up parting ways with Matt Nagy. Matter of fact, it was a bit of a surprise that he made it through the end of the regular season. After Week 18 wrapped up, though, Chicago wasted no time in letting Nagy go, plus general manager Ryan Pace.
Now, some new faces are needed in The Windy City to try and spark some hope and optimism into the organization. Flores could be the guy to really make an impact on this young team. Again, no one really thought he’d be fired by Miami, but the Dolphins are ready to move in a different direction.
Should Flores and Chicago not end up joining forces, you better believe that a different team will be ready to try and hire him. A quick look at Twitter says Chicago fans would love it if Flores is the new head coach. We’ll find out soon enough if the front office goes that way.
