Former members of the Alabama football team are taking to Twitter to sound off after the loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in the National Championship game.

Everyone loses at some point or another. That includes the seeming unstoppable force that is Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Saban seems to win a national title every other season and, well, this just wasn’t his season. Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs finally beat Alabama to win the championship this year.

The Crimson Tide came up short and ultimately unraveled to end their season. Alabama is good though. Really, really good. This was supposed to be a bit of a rebuilding year and the Crimson Tide still made it to the National Championship game.

Now, in the midst of any frustration and disappointment they may be feeling, some former Alabama football players are sharing their thoughts on this game and how the season went.

Smart, who was a longtime assistant for Saban and the Crimson Tide, is more than familiar with many former members of the Alabama football team.

The group of Alabama players who got the chance to learn from Smart seem happy for their former defensive coordinator.

Of course, even if an Alabama fan or former player isn’t thrilled about this loss, they can take solace in knowing that they’ll almost certainly be back sooner rather than later.
