The Dallas Cowboys apparently have issues spelling. Theyāre a pretty good football franchise, but theyāre not the best at spelling names for some reason.Ā
Very few things are going right for the Dallas Cowboys as they host the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs. While this team looked excellent during the regular season, Dallas has looked rough from the start of this contest.
And somehow, the Cowboysā issues apparently include the inability to spell Leighton Vander Eschās name properly.
On Vander Eschās uniform, the Cowboys ended up dubbing him āVander Ecsh.ā Itās a pretty straightforward, simple misspelling. All the Cowboys did was flip a couple letters.
But itās not great.

Dallas Cowboys misspellĀ Leighton Vander Eschās name on his jersey
Hey, look, typos happen. Misspellings happen. Everyoneās guilty of this sort of mistake at some point or another. That includes yours truly. Thatās why editors are important. Well, editors and spellcheck.
But, this is a jersey for an NFL player in a playoff game. Vander Esch isnāt a rookie. Heās not new to this team. Heās been around for a few years now. There arenāt many good explanations for why this happened.
Unfortunately for Dallas, apparently NFL jerseys donāt come with spellcheck or editors.
If the Cowboys can find a way to overcome the 49ers, then maybe theyāll have a chance to fix Vander Eschās uniform with the proper spelling of his name prior to their next matchup. Of course, if this score holds and San Francisco can hold on to win, then a botched spelling on a jersey will be the last thing that this franchise will need to address.
