Nick Bosa injury update: 49ers star leaves Wild Card game after big collision
49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa was forced to the sidelines with a head/neck injury after a scary collision in the Wild Card game against the Cowboys.
Nick Bosa matching up with the Cowboys offensive line was a matchup all San Francisco 49ers fans were watching. The San Francisco 49ers star is a game-changer and could really put pressure on the Dallas offense.
Unfortunately, Bosa’s Wild Card Round matchup at AT&T Stadium might’ve been cut short.
Late in the second quarter, Bosa took a bad and scary (and also unintentional and unavoidable) hit from a teammate that left him down on the ground and in obvious pain, forcing him out of the action before halftime.
What happened to Nick Bosa?
Bosa was putting pressure on Dak Prescott (while getting held on the play, which was flagged). When he went to make a dive toward the Cowboys quarterback, another 49ers defensive lineman came in and hit him awkwardly in the head and neck area.
Luckily, he walked off under his own power and gave a thumbs up. We don’t yet know when he’ll be back for the San Francisco defense or if he will be coming out of halftime.
Update: Bosa is being evaluated for a concussion.
Update: Nick Bosa has been ruled out.
