Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby said he would vote for Rich Bisaccia to be the team’s permanent head coach.

The Las Vegas Raiders are interviewing candidates for head coach, despite the fact that Rich Bisaccia took over on an interim basis and helped lead the team to the playoffs. Quarterback Derek Carr already gave his vote of confidence to Bisaccia to be promoted as permanent head coach, and he is not alone.

During an appearance on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby revealed that he would pick Bisaccia to be the team’s head coach.

Bisaccia started off the season as the team’s special teams coordinator. But after Jon Gruden stepped away from the team after controversial emails surfaced, Bisaccia was named interim head coach.

Since Bisaccia took over as head coach, the Raiders went 7-5 on the season. Las Vegas went 4-0 the campaign’s final month, including a 35-32 overtime win over the rival Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18 to clinch a playoff berth for the first time since 2016. They were eliminated by the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card Round, losing 26-19.

There is uncertainty as to what the Raiders will actually do this offseason. Days after their playoff elimination, the team fired general manager Mike Mayock. A new general manager will likely want to bring in their own head coach to begin their tenure.

Thus far, Las Vegas requested to interview New England Patriots linebacker coach Jerod Mayo for the head coaching job. There are also the links to Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh, where a recent report indicated that he could leave the Wolverines for the Raiders if offered the job.

Bisaccia did interview for the job on Wednesday, Jan. 19.
