Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh was hit with a penalty for taunting, but he seems to think Matthew Stafford got away with a dirty play.
An interaction between Ndamukong Suh and Matthew Stafford has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive lineman pretty upset.
While a ref was giving Tampa Bay a penalty for Suh allegedly taunting, Suh seems to believe Stafford deserved one. According to Suh, who could be heard on the refās hot mic, Stafford kicked him.
Yeah, Suh doesnāt seem to be too happy there.
Ndamukong Suh claims Matthew Stafford kicked him during a tackle
This whole situation with Suh is going to be perceived by many as being a little ironic given Suhās history and the way some NFL fans view him to be a dirty player because of some fairly notable plays from his past.
Thereās almost no doubt Matt Schaub has forgotten about when Suh was fined $30,000 for kicking Schaub in the groin.Ā Suh claimed the kick was unintentional, but at the time he had a less-than-stellar reputation and many didnāt exactly give him the benefit of the doubt on the matter.
Ryan Fitzpatrick may or may not remember the time that Suhās foot ended up coming into contact with Fitzpatrickās head.
In that instance, the NFL ended up giving Suh the benefit of the doubt. Apparently it didnāt appear to them as if Suh intentionally tried to hurt Fitzpatrick and the whole incident was coincidental and the contact was something that happened as Suh was stumbling past Fitzpatrick and trying to maintain his balance.
Unfortunately for SUh, thatās probably one moment where folks tend to give him any sort of break. People tend to view his career and any interactions he has through a microscope, examining everything he does. Whether itās fair or not, thatās what happens. And whether itās fair or not, many might not believe that Stafford was trying to hurt Suh.
