LeBron conveniently jumps on Bengals bandwagon after AFC Championship

LeBron James tweeted out a photo of Joe Burrow smoking a cigar after the Cincinnati Bengals clinched a spot in Super Bowl 56.
The Cincinnati Bengals were seven-point underdogs entering the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Cincinnati actually trailed Kansas City 21-3 in the second half. Yet, they came all the way back in the second half and managed to pick up the 27-24 victory in overtime to make it to the Super Bowl for the first time in 33 years.
After the Bengals picked up the victory, LeBron James, a noted Cleveland Browns fan, tweeted out a photo of Joe Burrow smoking a cigar after he helped lead the LSU Tigers to a National Championship win back in 2019.
LeBron James jumps on Bengals bandwagon
It may be sacrilege for a Browns fan to give props to the Bengals, but this appears to be a case of James giving his props to Burrow for helping lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl in his second-year in the NFL.
Cincinnati’s defense played their role by preventing the Chiefs from reaching the end zone for the entire second half. That allowed Burrow to lead the offense to points in the second half, including two field goals by Evan McPherson and a touchdown reception by Ja’Marr Chase.
The Bengals may have lost the coin toss in overtime, but that did not play a factor as much as it did to the Buffalo Bills in their Divisional Round matchup against the Chiefs. Mahomes threw an interception on a pass intended for wide receiver Tyreek Hill, allowing Burrow and running back Joe Mixon to set McPherson up in favorable field goal range. Sure enough, the rookie kicker nailed the kick to send Cincinnati to Los Angeles for Super Bowl 56.
Burrow completed 23-of-38 pass attempts for 250 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while rushing for 25 yards on five carries.
Just like after leading the Tigers to a National Championship, Burrow was smoking a cigar after clinching a spot in the Super Bowl.
