Joel Embiid Twitter reaction to Ben Simmons trade is perfection

As soon as the news broke on the blockbuster trade involving Ben Simmons and James Harden, Joel Embiid went straight to Twitter to post an epic reaction. 

Goodness, what a crazy end to the NBA trade deadline. On Thursday, everyone was waiting for the news to drop as to whether or not Ben Simmons would be traded for James Harden and it looks like Joel Embiid was sitting close to his phone as well.

Things ended up getting over the line, with Shams Charania reporting the major trade went down. With NBA Twitter, as a whole, going nuts, Embiid just stole the show with an unreal tweet of his own.

People are going wild after seeing this tweet from Embiid and rightfully so. It’s no secret that he and Simmons haven’t been on the best of terms. Things went from bad to worse following the loss to the Atlanta Hawks that knocked Philadelphia out of the postseason last spring.

People are still talking about Simmons’ late blunder in Game 7 when he passed the ball despite being wide open in front of the basket. Embiid even called Simmons out for that play, which of course infuriated him.

Now, Embiid’s partnership with Simmons is officially over and he can now look forward to starting things up with Harden. With Harden now Philly-bound, things sure are looking exciting for the 76ers as a whole.

For Brooklyn, Simmons now has a fresh start himself and he’ll be ready to suit up with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Imagine if the Nets and 76ers end up meeting in the postseason too. The drama would not be able to be measured leading up to that series. NBA fans everywhere would love to see it.
