Chelsea fans are mad at Christian Pulisic for missing easy goal in Carabao Cup Final

Christian Pulisic had a golden chance to give Chelsea FC an early lead in the Carabao Cup Final but he couldn’t find the back of the net. 

If Chelsea isn’t able to take down Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Final, then Christian Pulisic might have nightmares for a while. Early on in the title match on Sunday at Wembley Stadium, Pulisic had a golden opportunity to put the Blues ahead.

However, the American’s shot went straight at Liverpool goalie Caoimhin Kelleher. It was an opportunity Pulisic would normally take advantage of with ease, but he somehow couldn’t execute.

Mason Mount also had a chance to give Chelsea a lead, but he himself also blew it a bit with his attempt. Chelsea fans are quite frustrated and they’re hoping these misses won’t come back to haunt them later on in the action.

As you can see from those tweets above, people are not happy at all with Pulisic’s effort there. All he had to do was tap it in, but instead his effort went right to the LFC keeper. Liverpool is simply too good for Chelsea to waste these kinds of opportunities.

The only reason this game was even at 0-0 at halftime was thanks to an amazing double save from Edouard Mendy. The more pressure the Reds put on the Chelsea defense, the more confidence their attacking unit will develop.

Pulisic and Mount simply must be better and drill their next shots into the back of the net if they find themselves in front of the goal. Otherwise, it will be Liverpool who will end up raising the trophy high into the sky after the final whistle.
