LeBron James states the obvious about the Clippers: ‘They’re a better team’

After the Los Angeles Clippers dominated the Lakers on Thursday night, LeBron James had to admit that they’re simply the better team. 

The nightmare season for the Los Angeles Lakers just keeps on going and it’s tough to watch. Things only got worse on Thursday, as the Lakers were dominated by the Clippers, suffering a disappointing 132-111 defeat.

After that loss, Lakers fans were having a meltdown, as the team’s record has now fallen to 27-35. Eight games under .500 is not what anyone expected at this point in the season. For LeBron James, you already know he was quite frustrated with how things played out, while he also had to give the Clippers their props as well.

LeBron James said the Clippers are the better squad right now

James said the Clippers are the superior team to the Lakers and no one can argue with that. The Clippers are 34-31 this season after Thursday’s victory. Guard Reggie Jackson looked brilliant in that win, scoring 36 points.

The Lakers really had no answer for him or the Clippers as a whole all night. Injuries have hurt the Lakers throughout the season, but there are really no excuses for them to be playing so poorly. General manager Rob Pelinka’s job may be safe for now, but the Lakers supporters have been calling for a change at the top for a while now. They want him out of town.

In order for this team to turn things around and make the playoffs this spring, they’re going to have to snap out of this funk and start playing to their potential. If that doesn’t happen, then the Lakers could miss out on the postseason which would be a stunner. With James on the back-end of his career too, this would be completely unacceptable.
