With his criminal case now behind him, Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is expected to have plenty of suitors in the trade market.

For better or worse, Watson’s criminal case is behind him for now, though he still faces plenty of civil suits.

While he could still be suspended by the NFL, Watson does become an interesting trade asset for teams still in need of a quarterback.

That brings us to the elephant in the room. Does Watson have a no-trade clause? And if so, who would even trade for him?

Does Deshaun Watson have a no trade clause?

Yes, Watson has a no-trade clause. Odds are, however, he would waive it to join just about any NFL situation that isn’t Houston. The Clemson product has made it very clear he does not want to join this iteration of the Texans under Lovie Smith.

Even Watson’s agent mentioned that he hopes the Watson-Texans situation can resolve itself in a statement on Friday.
