The Indianapolis Colts are easily the best landing spot to trade Matt Ryan to

If the Falcons land Watson, expect for Ryan to be traded to the Indianapolis Colts. This is a team that is more than playoff viable, but is in dire need of a starting quarterback. Ryan would be the best quarterback in the AFC South upon arrival. He would play there for about three years and would give the Colts their best shot at winning a Super Bowl since Peyton Manning played there.

People forget that Ryan’s prototype coming out of Boston College was a lesser version of Manning. He has essentially been that in Atlanta uniform since 2008. What makes the Colts such a great landing spot for him is multi-faceted. They have plenty of cap space to take on his contract. They can win now. He can experience a career revival playing behind an incredible offensive line.

Most importantly, the Colts play in the other conference. Not only that, but Indianapolis is a dome team and all six division games will be played either inside or in mild climates. Since Ryan never gets hurt, he would provide the stability the Colts have been missing at the quarterback position since before Andrew Luck got rag dolled behind a porous offensive line. Ryan to Indy makes sense.

If the Falcons want to do right by Ryan, then they should trade him to the Colts upon his approval.
