The Kansas City Chiefs and Tyreek Hill have officially parted ways and Chiefs’ Kingdom is not taking it well to say the least.
The football gods spare no fan base and have finally come around to the Kansas City Chiefs. The AFC West has loaded up on both offensive and defensive talent, free agents have looked past KC for signing, and now, the biggest blow of them all. After spending six straight seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, Tyreek Hill has been traded to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for five draft picks.
It is always rough trading away a player that has been part of the team for a while. However, when that player is a one-of-a-kind player and the return was less than ideal, the emotions get a little heightened. That was evident based on Kansas City’s reaction on Twitter after the trade was made final.

Of course, the first major point of contention was the compensation.
The fact that the earliest pick is the 29th is just wild(ly bad).

It means you still have no avenue to top tier of pass rushers or receivers barring trading up, which then reduces the size of the haul you got for Hill. https://t.co/bo2069n038
Fleeced. Absolutely fleeced.

Horrendous trade by the Chiefs. Absolutely terrible.

Then just the thought of Hill leaving garnered responses.
Getting cheaper and younger is generally a great thing. Tyreek Hill isn't "generally."

It's still dependent on the trade return and contract details, but man, it doesn't feel good.
We really just traded the best receiver in franchise history during Patrick Mahomes prime. I’m gonna throw up

This team is going to have a VERY hard time convincing me that they could restructure Frank Clark and keep him on the team but couldn’t pay & keep Tyreek Hill.

Then a couple Chiefs’ players and former teammates of Hill weighed in, saying their goodbyes to a foundational piece of the Chiefs’ organization.
