No. 1 Kansas will take on No. 10 Miami on Sunday in the Elite Eight looking to reach the Final Four for the 16th time in program history.

Sunday is going to be a memorable day for basketball fans, as the final spots for the Final Four will be decided with some big-time matchups. To get things started, No. 1 Kansas will take on No. 10 Miami.

The Jayhawks have won the most games in NCAA basketball history, earning victory No. 2,354 after coming out on top in the Sweet 16 against Providence. Now, Kansas is looking to make things even better by reaching the Final Four for the 16th time.

Kansas has 15 Final Four appearances to its name

One of the most successful programs out there, Kansas has been to the Final Four 15 times already, doing so in 1940, 1952, 1953, 1957, 1971, 1974, 1986, 1988, 1991, 1993, 2002, 2003, 2008, 2012 and 2018. The Jayhawks have won the National Championship three times, capturing the ultimate glory in 1952, 1988 and 2008.

In the 66-61 win over Providence, guard Remy Martin had a game to remember, as he scored a team-high 23 points. Jalen Wilson also had a strong showing, chipping in with 16 points and adding 11 rebounds.

There’s been plenty of head-turning upsets thus far in the tournament, including No. 1 seeds Baylor, Gonzaga and Arizona all being knocked out much earlier than expected. Kansas is the only top seed still dancing, and the team enters the Sunday tilt with the Hurricanes as favorites.

Not only that, countless people are expecting the Jayhawks to potentially win their fourth national title. First, the Jayhawks will need to take care of business against Miami and get themselves to the Final Four. Fans are loving this run the team is on and they’re ready for things to keep on going.
