MLB Opening Day pitching matchups
MLB Opening Day is back and we are closing in on opening day. Here is what Opening Day and the pitching matchups will look like.
Baseball is back. The 162-game season will be returning after a 99-day lockout, the second-longest stoppage in baseball history. The 2022 season will start a week later than usual and games that are to be missed will be made up later in the season.
The lockout postponed the original start date of spring training until a bargaining agreement was agreed to. Players were scheduled to report for spring training on March 14 and spring training is currently underway until April 4.
MLB Opening Day kicks off April 7, with the first game of the season being a matchup against the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. There are nine games scheduled on Opening Day and by April 8, all 30 MLB teams would have played their first game of the 2022 season.
MLB Opening Day probable pitcher matchups
As MLB Opening Day approaches, we will see nine teams start off the season, and it is only right to know who each team’s starting pitcher will be.
Note: Some teams like to announce their Opening Day starters later than others. We will update this post as Opening Day starters are revealed.

Seattle Mariners v. Minnesota Twins
