Tiger Woods congratulated Scottie Scheffler for winning The Masters, and thanked fans for the support during the tournament.
Tigers Woods was the talk of the first day of The Masters, as he took part in his first competitive tournament since his car accident in 2021. He started off strong in Round 1, but he ultimately fell down the leaderboard thereafter to ultimate finish 47th after shooting 13-over par for the tournament.
After The Masters concluded, Woods posted a message on Twitter, thanking the fans for their “support and appreciation.”
Woods also congratulated Scottie Scheffler for winning The Masters.

Scheffler had a dominant lead over the field throughout the tournament, and he finished the Masters shooting 10 under par to earn his first major championship victory. Not only that, but he has the coveted Green Jacket to add to his wardrobe.
Following his win, Scheffler was asked if he was influenced by Woods as a golfer. Scheffler responded by saying that he uses Woods’ irons and wore his shirt throughout the week.

Woods finished his first day at Augusta National one shot under par to land in the top 10 on the leaderboard. After shooting one over par after the second day, Woods clinched a spot to compete in the weekend. But, Woods tumbled down the leaderboard on Saturday, shooting six over par.
For those wondering what is next for Woods, he said he plans on playing in The Open Championship at St. Andrews this July.
