Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow threw out the first pitch as part of the Cincinnati Reds’ Opening Day celebration, meeting Joey Votto right beforehand.

Right after meeting Joey Votto, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw out the first pitch at Cincinnati Reds‘ Opening Day.

Burrow is fresh off his sensational sophomore season in the NFL, as he took the previously toothless Bengals all the way to the Super Bowl. Even though they came up short to the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi, it was a season for the ages on the Queen City gridiron and hopefully a sign of more good things to come. However, Votto is a legend on the diamond and now over on TikTok.

Here is Burrow and Bengals teammates Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins meeting Votto in person.

Even though the Bengals have taken the NFL by storm this past year, Cincinnati has belonged to the Reds for generations. Not only are they the first professional sports team in town, they are a charter member of the National League. While the Reds have not come close to winning a championship since the 1990 World Series, they maintain a passionate fanbase amidst rebuilds.

With the recent addition of FC Cincinnati to MLS and the AAC’s Cincinnati Bearcats about to go to the Big 12, Cincinnati’s national sports profile has really kicked it up a notch of late. While Votto is in the final years of his borderline hall-of-fame big-league career, Burrow is already a college football legend and well on his way toward being the best Bengals player since Anthony Muñoz.

Even though Burrow looks to be good as new after the Super Bowl, why is Higgins rocking a sling?
