Top Detroit Tigers prospect Spencer Torkelson recorded his first hit on Tuesday and fans are jacked up about it.
Detroit Tigers stud Spencer Torkelson is officially on the board. In the showdown with the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday, Torkelson entered play without recording a big-league hit. Well, that has changed for him.
In the bottom of the third inning, Torkleson delivered his first hit, coming off veteran Rich Hill, and the fans inside of the stadium went nuts. Torkelson is looked at as the future of this club and rightfully so.

That last tweet is gold from that Tigers fan, as it looks like people are already thinking about him getting to 3,000 for his career. In all seriousness, this is a big moment for Torkelson and it’s an achievement he’ll most definitely never forget.
There have been some lean years for this team in recent campaigns, but people are ready for the future. On top of Torkelson making the Opening Day roster, supporters all over Detroit are still hyped up about the team signing Javier Baez to his monster deal during the offseason.
El Mago has continued his brilliant ways both at the plate and in the field to start things off in 2022. Detroit Tigers fans have suffered long enough. Both Torkelson and Baez are ready to provide countless smiles down the road.
