White Sox: Joe Kelly trolls Aaron Hicks in hilarious NSFW rant
By Mark Powell
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Joe Kelly picked off Aaron Hicks in Sunday’s game, and trolled him after the fact on a sports radio appearance.
It’s been a tough season for Hicks, who Yankees fans would rather see off the roster, either in Triple-A or free agency altogether. On Sunday afternoon, Hicks was caught dancing off second base, and Kelly made him pay.
Sure, Kelly is a relief pitcher, but at some level of his development he learned how to step off the mound and throw to second base. Hicks was halfway down to third base before Kelly even noticed, and quickly tossed the ball back into the infield.

Kelly is one of the best trash talkers in professional baseball, as he’s not afraid to make comments others won’t — see the Houston Astros.
The 33-year-old went on Chicago sports radio in the aftermath of the White Sox series win over the Yankees. When his pickoff of Hicks came up, Kelly was utterly ruthless.
“So then I turn and I throw, and I beat him by a mile,” Kelly said. “I could see Aaron’s face just demoralized. So I was like ‘That a baby, Aaron. What the f— are you doing? I said way to go, you’re such a stud, that a baby. And I just let it rip because it was the dumbest s— ever, you know what I mean? Just play your game, don’t press.”
Yankees fans have the same question, Joe. What the heck was he thinking?
