Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman was revealed to be the winner of Mike Trout’s infamous fantasy football league. Now, it is listed on his Baseball Reference page.

Mike Trout was the commissioner of a fantasy football league amongst his fellow MLB players that has since become public after Tommy Pham slapped Joc Pederson over a dispute regarding the use of an injured reserve spot. During the Sunday Night Baseball game between the Los Angeles Angels and New York Mets, Trout revealed to the commentary team that the winner of the league that season was Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman.

Being the winner of the league that has gained notoriety after the whirlwind new cycle for the past month is surely a grand accomplishment. Baseball Reference believed it was so, because they added “Won Mike Trout’s Fantasy Baseball League” to the awards section of his page!

Just think, future generations are going to see this accomplishment on Bregman’s page and do an online search to see what the significance of it was. That is when they’ll discover the wildest MLB story of the 2022 season. That, of course, is all dependent on the accomplishment remaining on his Baseball Reference page.

The story has only increased since Pham slapped Pederson and received a three-game suspension by the league.

It was revealed by Pham that Pederson was badmouthing his team at the time, the San Diego Padres, in the league’s group text. Pederson confirmed by showing the GIF that he sent, where he apologized if he hurt anyone’s feelings.

Recently, some members of the San Francisco Giants wore t-shirts trolling Pham that read “Fantasy Football 101, Stashing Players on the IR isn’t Cheating.” That caught the attention of Pham, who replied on Twitter, which he said all he has to do is “release the IR rules in the league and the text how I told Joc I was gonna pimp slap him for cheating.”

Pederson revealed that the team disposed of the t-shirts.

Congratulations to Bregman for winning what will go down as potentially the most well-known fantasy football league of all time.
