Oklahoma football fans are always passionate, but at least one pair of supporters among the Sooners faithful were willing to just about cross the line.
Itās a new era for Oklahoma football as Brent Venables takes over for the one that those in Norman mostly refer to with words you canāt say on TV, Lincoln Riley. That begins on Saturday as the Sooners host UTEP for the season-opener.
But fans didnāt wait until kickoff to start getting a little out of hand. In fact, at least two fans showed up to the tailgate and were already out of pocket.
Donāt believe me? Just take a look at this picture that the pair is clearly quite proud of based on their body language and you tell me that they arenāt.
Oklahoma football: Fans out of pocket with jersey combo
Now, in defense of these fans, these are two real Oklahoma football players being represented with junior defensive back Joshua Eaton and sophomore quarterback General Booty.Ā So this wasnāt an NSFW attempt at humor from self-made jerseys, which is in their favor.
This, of course, isnāt the first time that weāve seen fans have fun with the names on the back of the jersey as the support the name on the front of the jersey. Perhaps the most related instance would be the family of former Michigan tight end Jake Butt all having a little fun with their last name.
Even still, this one is a bit closer to crossing the line than that, of course. With that said, you have to believe that the Sooners tailgate party was big fans of the jersey combo in Norman ahead of the opener.
