College football rankings: AP Top 25 Poll, Week 6 losers

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Georgia Bulldogs. 2. player. SEC. (5-0). 814

A near upset in CoMo has Georgia looking up at the Crimson Tide this week

Admittedly, it could have been a lot worse for Georgia. The Dawgs played their worst game in years and still won. Had they played a more seasoned SEC team, it would have been a nasty defeat. Then again for years, Georgia would have found ways to lose this game. While they are still undefeated at 5-0, the Dawgs earned every bit of that No. 2 ranking the AP gave them in Week 6.

Losing the Textile Bowl does not bode well for North Carolina State long-term

Every time we give the North Carolina State Wolfpack some love, they lose a game to a team they are trying to overtake in the ACC hierarchy. While they beat Clemson last season in Raleigh, losing the Textile Bowl on the road this year probably keeps them out of Charlotte. Even more important, Clemson now has the head-to-head tiebreakers over both Wake Forest and North Carolina State…

Big 12. (3-2). Baylor Bears. player. Scouting Report. NR. 860. Pick Analysis

Reigning Big 12 champion Baylor has already been eliminated from CFP talks

It was going to be so difficult for Dave Aranda’s Baylor Bears to top what they did a season ago. Winning the Big 12, the Sugar Bowl and getting to 12 wins was nothing short of remarkable. However, they have lost two games already on this season: at BYU and home vs. Oklahoma State. Even if they are a good team going forward, we can remove the Bears from all playoff discussions.

NR. (3-2). Texas A&M Aggies. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. SEC. 873

Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies have so many problems to sort out now

If you are still buying whatever Jimbo Fisher is selling at Texas A&M, you are a damn fool. He may recruit more good players than most other programs, but his team keeps losing games to inferior competition. After getting embarrassed in Week 2 at home by Appalachian State, Texas A&M was a turnover machine vs. Mississippi State in Starkville. Another year, another disappointing season.

May the winners keep on winning and the losers get back to their winnings ways in short order.
