Toasty Buns: 5 college football coaches who will follow Paul Chryst, Karl Dorrell

Scott Satterfield may be replaced by Jeff Brohm before he buys a Christmas tree
Would you be shocked if Scott Satterfield is out at the end of the season in Louisville? Me neither. Replacing the iconic Bobby Petrino the second time around was never going to be easy, but Satterfield has simply not brought that App State magic with him since taking over the Cardinals. Recruiting has been an issue in-state with Kentucky being dominant. Plus, U of L is not winning…
For now, Louisville still plays in the tougher of the two ACC divisions. Clemson, NC State and Wake Forest are all clearly better than the Cardinals. Syracuse and Florida State probably are as well. While Boston College has struggled a bit, people have not turned on Jeff Hafley just yet. With Jeff Brohm doing great things at Purdue, how much money will it take to bring the quarterback home?
Louisville has too proud of an athletic history to be this bad on the football field for much longer.
If Auburn gets annihilated by Georgia in Athens, Bryan Harsin may be out Sunday
With Dorrell out, and Chryst shockingly, the hottest seat in college football now belongs to Bryan Harsin at Auburn. It was weird when former Auburn athletic director Allen Greene hired him away from Boise State. It has been a clunky fit since day one. With two losses on the year and possibly certain death approaching in Athens vs. Georgia, this could be Harsin’s last game leading Auburn.
Although Georgia has not played well since obliterating South Carolina in Columbia three weeks ago, the Dawgs have owned the Tigers in the Classic City. Auburn has not won a game at its cross-division rival’s place since the George W. Bush administration. Most teams will end up losing to Georgia, but should this one get ugly, Auburn may not let Harsin make the three-hour drive home.
Georgia may not be as elite as we thought, but Harsin is probably not beating No. 2 at their place.
