Kansas fans were hyped for their first-ever College GameDay appearance in Lawrence and the GameDay signs held no prisoners taking their shots.

With the wholly unexpected rise of Kansas football to start the 2022 season, fans have quickly hopped on board with the Jayhawks after their undefeated start for five games. And though it was a week after most people were asking for it, College GameDay finally obliged and took the show to Lawrence for their matchup with another unbeaten Big 12 team, TCU.

This wasn’t just a spunky team coming out of nowhere to get ESPN to come to the game — though it was that too. This was actually the first time in history that College GameDay had ever come to Lawrence for football.

Given all of the hype around the Jayhawks after the first month of the season, it was no surprise that the fans showed up in a huge way to support Kansas football. And with that came a collection of primo GameDay signs.

Kansas GameDay signs roast Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama and, of course, TCU

No one was safe from the high horse of Jayhawks fans in Lawrence as they took shots at their Saturday opponent, TCU, a few Big 12 rivals in Oklahoma and Texas that are heading to the SEC soon, and the always important message that Kansas wants Bama.

Between the Jalon Daniels meme, the Lance Leipold love and some just terrific shots at other teams, Kansas most definitely brought the noise with their GameDay signs.

There is something to be said for ESPN taking the show to places like Lawrence. Yes, fans in Tuscaloosa or Athens or Columbus will always show up and create a great atmosphere, but the fact of the matter is that more fans will show up with a ton of passion when they aren’t often treated to this type of thing.

Kansas football fans proved that on Saturday morning.
