The AP Top 25 Poll has given us several winners and losers to discuss after these latest college football rankings.

Not all college football rankings are created the same, but the AP Top 25 Poll reigns supreme until the College Football Playoff Selection Committee meets for the first time a few weeks from now.

We are at roughly the halfway point of the 2022 college football season, if you can believe that! While there are plenty of undefeated teams across the country entering Week 7, someone is going to lose next week for sure. That is because No. 3 Alabama will take on its cross-divisional rival in No. 6 Tennessee as the featured game of the weekend slate. Of course, it is not all about the SEC…

Here are the biggest winners and losers from the AP Top 25 Poll dropping on Sunday afternoon.

College football rankings: Winners from AP Top 25 Poll, Week 7

1. player. Georgia Bulldogs. 814. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. SEC. (6-0)

Georgia is back to being Georgia after crushing Auburn to reclaim the top spot

This was exactly the type of game Dawg Nation desperately needed. The Georgia Bulldogs did not look sharp the previous two weeks vs. Kent State and at Missouri. While Auburn has zero idea how to win in Athens, it was imperative for Georgia to run roughshod on its cross-divisional rival. A blowout victory over the Tigers has the Dawgs bowl eligible and sitting atop the latest AP Poll.

Scouting Report. SEC. Tennessee Volunteers. 6. Pick Analysis. (5-0). player. 839

Tennessee is quickly emerging as arguably the most dangerous team in the land

Even though they have only played five games, Josh Heupel’s Tennessee Volunteers are well on their way towards being back. The Vols clobbered the LSU Tigers in Death Valley on Saturday afternoon. Their offense is both balanced and dynamic. With Hendon Hooker playing like a Heisman Trophy contender, who is to say Rocky Top cannot win the Third Saturday in October?

Pick Analysis. Pac-12. (6-0). 836. Scouting Report. UCLA Bruins. 11. player

Don’t look now, but Chip Kelly’s UCLA Bruins can absolutely win the Pac-12

What Chip Kelly’s UCLA Bruins did to Kyle Whittingham’s Utah Utes cannot be overstated. UCLA has a bad reputation of being soft. Factor in Kelly being known for finesse football, and you can understand why people short UCLA. However, Utah has been the best program in the Pac-12 for several years now. UCLA is 6-0 with all of its wildest dreams ahead of it. The Bruins are for real!

TCU Horned Frogs. 13. player. 872. Big 12. (5-0). Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Sonny Dykes is dominating the metroplex at TCU, about to take over the Big 12

When Sonny Dykes went across town to TCU, we had a feeling he would take that metroplex blueprint from SMU and make it work eventually. Well, his Horned Frogs went into Lawrence and beat previously undefeated Kansas when ESPN’s College GameDay was in town. There is a lot of football left to be played in the Big 12, but they are a favorite to meet Oklahoma State in Arlington.

While Georgia, Tennessee, UCLA and TCU are all winners this week, not everyone was so lucky…
