College GameDay came to Knoxville for a huge Alabama vs Tennessee Top 10 showdown and the GameDay signs were exquisite and ruthless.

Despite a loaded Week 7 slate, the Third Saturday in October matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville was the only choice for ESPN’s College GameDay. Not only is it one of the best historic rivalries in the sport, but we’re also looking at a No. 3-ranked Bama team visiting a No. 6-ranked Vols team with neither team having suffered a loss yet this season.

As you’d imagine, fans of both sides were feeling themselves coming to the game and they showed as much with the GameDay signs in the crowd outside of Neyland Stadium on Saturday morning.

There were plenty of barbs being thrown, but despite the immense sea of orange in attendance for the day, there were some Alabama fans who found their way onto the camera.

Best GameDay signs from Alabama vs Tennessee

The result was a war of GameDay signs between Alabama and Tennessee fans, starting the battle between the SEC rivals before the action on the field ever kicked off.

Some of these are the same old jokes we always see insulting the intelligence of Bama and their fans. But there are some nice gems with shots at Saban or shots at how long it’s been since Tennessee actually got a win on the Third Saturday in October.

Regardless, if the GameDay signs are any indication, we are going to be in for a wild, wild matchup in Knoxville on Saturday and Neyland Stadium is going to be absolutely electric. Buckle up.
