Pro wrestling vibes were had in the tunnel at halftime of the Penn State at Michigan game.
Let’s just say that the Michigan Wolverines and the Penn State Nittany Lions don’t exactly like each other.
And why would they? These are Big Ten East division rivals with a ton on the line in Week 7. Both teams are undefeated and ranked inside of the top 10. While Michigan is the higher-ranked team and is at home, Penn State only trailed the Wolverines by a point at halftime on Big Noon Saturday. The winner of this game will likely be Ohio State’s biggest challenger in the Big Ten.
We haven’t seen this much drama in a tunnel since ECW was dominating way back in the day.

Michigan and Penn State nearly get into a brawl in the tunnel at halftime
While it remains to be seen what ignited this almost tussle, it could have 100 percent been about one player questioning the realness of the other team’s mascot. Have you ever seen a wolverine in person? And what in tarnation is a Nittany Lion exactly? A Buckeye might be a nut on a tree, but people in from the great state of Ohio have seen these things before, so they know they are real.
Overall, FOX could not have picked a better game for Big Noon Saturday. We have ourselves a mid-October football game between a pair of undefeated division rivals. Both Michigan and Penn State are massive brands, but they always have to play second or third-fiddle to Ohio State in their own division. Occasionally, one will get the best of the Buckeyes, and the college football world erupts.
Ultimately, the cooler heads will prevail on The Big House on Saturday afternoon. This is the biggest game for both teams, outside of the Ohio State date. While Penn State will host the Buckeyes here in a few weeks, Michigan stands a great chance at being 11-0 when the Wolverines have to go to The Horseshoe on Thanksgiving Weekend if they were to hold on and win this game.
The only thing better than all-out tunnel brawls are the lead-ups to them almost happening.
