Nebraska wide receiver Alante Brown attempted to hurdle over Michigan’s defense, but got launched in the air on what could be the nastiest hit of the year.

The focus this late into the season is to see who will be bowl game or College Football Playoff eligible. The Michigan Wolverines, they are one of the lone undefeated teams remaining, and cannot afford to lose ahead of their season finale against Ohio State. They faced off against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 11.

For Nebraska, they had to pull out all the stops to stand a chance against Michigan. In the second quarter, wide receiver Alante Brown caught a pass from quarterback Chubba Purdy tried to get through the Wolverines defense. Brown attempted to hurdle defensive back Mike Sainristil, but was hit right below the waist with his helmet, catapulting him into the air. As he was coming back down to the ground, he was hit in the side by defensive back D.J. Turner.

Take a look for yourselves.

Nebraska WR hurdles himself into nastiest hit of year

Well, that was nuts.

When looking at the replay multiple times, it looked like Brown was hit with a professional wrestling move. In this case, it looked like a back-body drop turned into a powerbomb.

The good news is that Brown was okay, as he got up off the ground almost immediately. Even better, the Cornhuskers were able to get points on this drive, as Timmy Bleekrode kicked a 37-yard field goal to cut their deficit to 14-3.

The thing is, this play will be part of highlight reels for at least the next week.
