Here’s everything Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh said after the Wolverines’ 45-23 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Ever since being hired as Michigan’s head coach in late 2014, Jim Harbaugh was tasked with two goals. The first, win a national championship. The second, beat the rival Ohio State Buckeyes. The latter was something that hasn’t been done since 2011. Harbaugh received his first win as a coach against the Buckeyes last year. Now, he’s made it two in a row.

Michigan defeated Ohio State 45-23 after trailing 20-17 at halftime. the second half was all Wolverines, highlighted by two long touchdown runs by Donovan Edwards.

With the Wolverines on the path to a College Football Playoff berth, Harbaugh shared his thoughts on the win after the game in the press conference.

Everything Jim Harbaugh said after Michigan’s huge win over Ohio State

After the game, Harbaugh said that it felt great to sing Michigan’s fight song “The Victors” inside of Ohio Stadium after beating the Buckyes. Quote comes courtesy of Brad Galli of WXYZ Detroit.

Harbaugh praised the performance of starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy. Even though McCarthy did complete 50-percent of his passes (12-of-24), he was able to connect on deep passes, specifically two touchdown throws to wide receiver Cornelius Johnson. Harbaugh said that McCarthy had “the it factor.” Quote comes courtesy of Zach Shaw of 247 Sports.

The Michigan head coach also offered praise for defensive back Mike Sainristil. He had two defended passes to his credit, one of which was smacking a would-be touchdown catch out of the hands of tight end Cade Stover.

Harbaugh called Sainristil “a disciplined athlete in grit,” and that “he does have that dawg in him.” Quote comes courtesy of 247 Sports’ Zach Shaw.

The Wolverines once again defeated the Buckeyes quite handily for the second year in a row. Now, they wait and see who they play in the Big Ten Championship Game. A win there will most certainly earn them a berth in the Playoff.

Harbaugh was ridiculed in the past for being unable to beat Ohio State. Now, he’s got two wins in a row against them.
