Pittsburgh Steelers running back and former Alabama Crimson Tide player took a shot at the Georgia Bulldogs’ National Championship win last season.

The Georgia Bulldogs held the No. 1 spot in the latest College Football Playoff rankings entering their SEC Championship Game against the LSU Tigers. If they are to win, they’ll surely lock in the top spot in the Playoff, as they look to defend their national championship.

When it comes to Georgia, there’s no love lost when it comes to Alabama players, former and present.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back and former Alabama player Najee Harris was asked about Georgia, considering rookie wide receiver and former Bulldog George Pickens cited all of the defensive talent he had to practice with in the program. That is when Harris decided to throw some jabs at Georgia.

The video of Harris’ comments come in ESPN’s Brooke Pryor’s tweet below:

Najee Harris calls Georgia National Championship win ‘weak’

“I’m going to talk a little s*** because Georgia, their staff came from Alabama,” said Harris. “Their whole stuff is from us. Obviously he got that stuff from us, as far as I see it. He got his weak ass natty.”

When asked why he felt Georgia’s title win was weak, Harris cited Alabama’s top receivers being hurt. Of course, that is in reference to John Metchie III and Jameson Williams. Metchie tore his ACL during the 2021 SEC Championship Game, while Williams suffered the same injury in the CFP National Championship Game.

As Pryor notes in her tweet above, Pickens responded to Harris’ “weak” comments regarding the title win, saying that Heisman winning quarterback Bryce Young threw a pick-six late in the National Championship Game.

Harris has two CFP national titles to his credit, winning in 2017 and 2020. Of course, the latter is when he ran for 1,466 yards and 26 touchdowns on 251 carries, earning him the Doak Walker award for best running back in college football.

Georgia will look to win the SEC title for the first time since 2017 by defeating LSU. From there, they set their focus on winning the CFP title for the second consecutive year.
