2. Jayden Daniels will be more run than throw for LSU

The best chance LSU has to keep this interesting vs. Georgia is to keep it low-scoring and have starting quarterback Jayden Daniels make plays with his legs. This is what helped the Bayou Bengals best Alabama in overtime to essentially win the SEC West. Unfortunately, he sustained an injury in the unthinkable road loss to Texas A&M last week, which might limit his inherent mobility.

Though it may give up a few plays down the field early on, the Georgia defense will eventually take away the pass. Therefore, it is imperative for Daniels to try to do it himself for as long as he can. He will be under duress for much of the game vs. Georgia’s underrated pass-rushing unit. If Daniels can keep a few drives alive with his legs, then LSU has an outside shot at the upset bid.

Up to this point, no opposing quarterback has played well enough to defeat this Georgia defense.

1. Kirby Smart wins second SEC Championship, Dawgs stay put in Atlanta

This is a much different team than a year ago. While it is more balanced, this is not a generational Georgia team. Yes, the offense is better and yes, the defense has not dropped off all that much. However, what this team has going for it is the self-inflicted adversity it creates, and always seems to get out, of by playing with its own food. Thankfully, those days seem to be over for UGA.

Since Georgia lost last year’s SEC Championship, it had to face Michigan as the No. 3 seed in the Orange Bowl. But with a win over a very beatable LSU team, Georgia will be able to stay put, as the Dawgs would earn the No. 1 seed in the 2023 College Football Playoff where it will play probably USC or Ohio State in the Peach Bowl. Kirby Smart will want to win his second SEC title.

While Georgia will once again play with its food, the Dawgs will put this out of reach in the fourth.

Final score: Georgia 38, LSU 17
