CFB media reacts to the final 2022 College Football Playoff rankings
The final 2022 College Football Playoff rankings were released on Sunday and CFB media had plenty to say about the Top 25 at the end of the season.
If everything went to plan on conference championship weekend, the drama for the reveal of the final 2022 College Football Playoff rankings wouldn’t have been present in the slightest. The Top 4 would’ve been set with Georgia, Michigan, TCU and USC locked in and ready to compete for a national championship.
Georgia and Michigan did their part, but not until after USC losing the Pac-12 Championship Game to Utah on Friday and the TCU falling just short in OT against Kansas State in the Big 12 title game threw everything on its head.
So that meant that the Bulldogs and Wolverines were all but locked in at No. 1 and 2 heading into Sunday’s reveal of the final CFP rankings. But what would happen behind them? Would it be Ohio State jumping into the Top 4? Would TCU stay in the Playoff? Could Alabama become the first two-loss team to ever make the Playoff?
We got our answers on Sunday with the reveal of the final College Football Playoff rankings.
